John Woodnutt, entrepreneur and inventor of electronic lighting control technology, has been awarded an MBE for services to Business and Entrepreneurship in the 2023 New Year Honours list. John pioneered lighting controls in the late 1950s and the Honour recognises his unique innovations in lighting controls and his six decades of commitment to creating smart, sustainable building solutions.

The two towers – one, a world-class luxury hotel operated by the Oberoi Group and the other comprising thirty-four stories of commercial office space – rise from a common podium surrounded by water features and landscaped grounds.
Delmatic systems provide aesthetic and energy-efficient scene-setting within the public areas of the hotel – function rooms, ballrooms, business centre, meeting room facilities, restaurants, health club and spa – as well as sophisticated monitoring and management of lighting within the shell and core areas of the office tower, podium and basement carpark levels.
The system comprises switching and dimming modules, presence detectors, photocells and multisensors, and provides full management and monitoring of lighting within both towers through graphical software at a networked head-end PC.
