John Woodnutt, entrepreneur and inventor of electronic lighting control technology, has been awarded an MBE for services to Business and Entrepreneurship in the 2023 New Year Honours list. The 20,000 sq.m development is located in a pivotal position opposite Glasgow’s Gallery of Modern Art and the contemporary curved façade wraps around eight floors of prime, best-in-class specification office accommodation.
The Delmatic system manages lighting across the building with fully-flexible DALI Plug-in control throughout office areas and DALI Broadcast channel control in core areas. BREEAM Excellent
energy efficiency is assured through the use of presence detection, absence detection and daylight linking, while the system optimises operational efficiency through luminaire hours-run logging and real-time lamp failure detection.
The building is the first in Glasgow to be equipped with integrated DALI emergency light testing and monitoring. The system monitors the performance and status of every emergency lamp and battery, and generates comprehensive online or cloud-based logs of tests and results for maintenance, analysis and statutory purposes.
The occupier lies at the heart of 110 Queen Street’s design, and tenants can mix and match from a huge selection of control devices including sensors and switches, scene-set panels, touchpanels and touchpads, IP phone, Apps and web-browser control.
