Devonshire Square dates back to the mid 1700s, and the Grade II listed warehouses which once stored exotic goods from around the world have been transformed into a multi-use campus environment.

The Delmatic systems installed within the project demonstrate the same versatility for use and reuse as the buildings themselves.

Devonshire Square is a prime example of repurposing and reinventing buildings. The complex of warehouses dating from the mid 1700s had become became redundant by the 1970s as containerisation became the norm. Thankfully, rather than being swept away, the five acre site was redeveloped and renovated and has been transformed into a multi-use campus environment.

The same sustainable approach has been applied to the Delmatic systems with successive modular, plug-in upgrades of the installed systems maximising reuse while retaining hardware and network infrastructure.

Systems installed in the early 1990s have been upgraded to latest open platform technology bringing the advantages of open protocol Lon, BACnet and DALI technology to networks first installed more than twenty years ago.
